Jim is the president of SJI.
Since 1987, Jim has helped thousands of people achieve their dreams, plan for their futures, and provide security for their families through investment and insurance services.
Fun fact: Chicago is the world’s 8th leading financial capital.
Funner fact: Chicago has more Fortune 500 world headquarters than any other city – except (can you guess?) … New York.
In 1989, Jim acquired a franchise of Chicago-based Stewart Jennings, Inc. This company later morphed into SJI Financial Services.
For nearly three decades, Jim has run SJI to serve clients from all walks of life and from all kinds of employers.
In addition to his ability to help nearly anyone, he and his team of financial advisors and support staff have a deep understanding of the needs of teachers.
Fun fact: BOTH of Jim’s parents were teachers!
Funner fact: 5 of Arizona’s 15 top-ranked public schools are in the Tucson metro area.
Jim’s team is also passionate about serving first responders, municipal government employees, and nonprofits.
Jim personally manages more than $100 million in client money. SJI manages over $500 million in total group and retail assets.
Fun fact: 100 million dollar bills, laid end to end, would completely outline the border of the 48 contiguous US states!

In 2008, Jim became registered as an Investment Advisor Representative with the broker/dealer Voya Financial Advisors. Jim has worked with many of Voya’s retirement plan sponsors for school districts, governments, first responders and other not-for-profit employer groups in Arizona and part of New Mexico.
Fun fact: Arizona’s economy ranks #10 in the US and is one of the best states for entrepreneurship.
Jim hosted an internet-based radio show.
Jim has written newspaper articles and has been quoted in the press (hopefully you remember what a newspaper is!).
Jim taught adult college education courses on Financial Planning and lectured to graduating university seniors.
